Pretty Woman, Ever After Cinderella Story, Maid in Manhattan, A Cinderella Story, 27 Dresses, The Proposal, Leap Year. Those are my favorite movies, because I think they have same point of story: finding a soul mate. They mostly talk about a man and a woman meeting each other in an unexpected way. I call it a romantic way. Of course, everything is so so fairy tale which is ended by "And they live happily ever after". Me, as a woman, want a fairy tale in my life, who doesn't? But, I live in a real life, and no fairy tale happens, I thought.
Until one day, I experienced something unusual. After waiting for such a period of time, but not so long, I found someone. It's so weird how I met him. Everything was unplanned, just like a coincidence. However, I believe there's no coincidence, it's fate, destiny, or whatever you call it. I met him in an unexpected time, and way, because actually at that time I didn't hope meeting someone. And voila... he's coming!
I am a kind of woman who's hard to feel comfortable to a man, harsh to believe in a man, difficult to be sured by a man, and of course not easy to fall in love. When I met him for the first time, I felt "click" to him. He's a mature one, who's I'm looking for. But of course, not that easy to make me believe, sure, and fall in love. Then, there's one moment when I really felt like he's so sure that I'm the one for him. So, I asked him, "Kok kamu bisa seyakin itu sih sama aku. Seyakin apa kamu sama aku?". While I was waiting for his answer, I tried to guess what it was. And Gosh, I really really never thought that he'd answer like this, "Seyakin aku punya agama."
For me, that's more than an answer. Religion is not something to be played and said that easy, that's a sensitive word. And that was the best answer I ever received. It was amazing! In that moment, I believed that he's good to me, and I was sure that he's the one. Oh, I forgot something, FYI, he's looking for a wife, not a girlfriend. So, when I said yes, it's a yes to a marriage. Nevertheless, everything could happen, thus me and him just pray that nothing bad would happen and all things would be just smooth. Anyway, at that time I couldn't say that I loved him, yet. Then, slowly he taught me to love him. As time goes by, I can say that finally I fall in love to him.
Now, I realize that my life is, more or less, like a story in the movie. I can't forget one conversation in Pretty Woman between Edward (Richard Gere) and Vivian (Julia Roberts), where Edward asked "what do you want" in the end of their togetherness. Vivian answered, "I want a fairy tale." And in the end, Vivian got fairy tale she wanted, his prince charming was coming with a white limo, instead of white horse.
The point is, actually there's always a fairy tale in real life. Just believe it. I always believe, one day that would be my day. One day............. would come sooner or later. Yeah, fairy tale does exist. Have faith!
